ENHANCEMENT Ticket (pending)
Versioning Repo Viewer
Code is hosted on different repo's all over the place, and a big problem is people don't always notice which location is holding the latest version, in addition to comments having plenty of tweaks also.
I was thinking it woul be fairly straightforward to allow the submitter to post an rss feed link to their repo so that the last 10 (or so many) commits, changes, versions, whatever can be visible and live on the article.
The point is to help prevent articles becoming stale, out of date and sometimes even invalid sources.
It'd be nice to have links directly to the downloads section (instead of asking people to download the code pasted).
Perhaps deeper integration would be possible with familiar repos (thechaw, google code, github) if there is a way to easily link to or display portions of the content from those sites (wiki, tickets, documentation, downloads).
At the very least perhaps you can specify which repo it's hosted on and a set of common links normally found in repos would send the visitor to the respective page ON that repo. Posting a wiki link and download link ON the article that actually jumps to the repo wiki/download/tickets would help keep the projects active and healthy.
Perhaps at the most basic you can incluede an RSS viewer? To put it bluntly, others and myself do not want to upload revisions to the script for moderation/publish after the initial posting each and every time there's an update
